Ihsaan Takaful
& Financial Services

Company overview
Ihsaan Takaful and Financial Services was incorporated in Zanzibar in 2022 to serve as a premier advisory firm dedicated to Islamic finance, business, wealth management, Islamic capital markets, the Halal industry and business-process re-engineering.
From inception, our mission has been to bridge global standards with local realities, ensuring that institutions, investors and communities benefit from solutions that are both principled and practical.
Our directors bring decades of hands-on leadership across diverse financial ecosystems. Collectively, they have:
We are not theorists working at a distance. We are practitioners who have navigated the complexities of governance, compliance and institutional transformation firsthand. Core values
These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the tests we apply when an engagement gets difficult and the easy answer is available.
Work is delivered to the standard our own professional bodies would apply to it, not to the minimum a client would accept.
We say the same thing to the board, the regulator and the client, including when it is unwelcome.
Our advice is not shaped by a product we are trying to sell you, because we are not selling one.
We stay with an engagement until the change is embedded, not until the report is delivered.
Every recommendation is built around your risk profile, your market and your capacity to execute it.
Certified practitioners, documented methodology, and confidentiality treated as an obligation rather than a clause.
We work across schools of thought, jurisdictions and sectors, and we bring partners in when they know more than we do.
Corporate philosophy & governance
Every engagement is scoped against the risks it carries for the client - regulatory, financial, reputational and Shari'ah - and those risks are stated in writing before work begins. Our directors' backgrounds in central bank internal audit, bank turnaround and Shari'ah supervision mean risk is assessed by people who have carried it.
Recommendations are traceable: the data behind them, the assumptions applied, and the alternatives considered are all documented, so a board can interrogate a conclusion rather than simply accept it.
The firm contributes professional capacity to the community it operates in - advisory support to public institutions on Waqf, Zakat and Islamic social security, and training that raises the standard of financial practice across the region rather than only inside our client list.
